Martinsville First is your first choice for checking.Our Basic Checking account features free unlimited check writing and no monthly service charges as long as the minimum daily balance is maintained. Fees are waived for qualified customers.
SAVINGS
Martinsville First has two ways to increase your savings.
Passbook Savings Account: An interest-bearing account with a minimum opening balance of $50 with competitive interest rates compounded and paid quarterly.
Money Market Savings Account: An interest-bearing deposit account with a minimum balance of $1,000. Competitive interest rates are compounded and paid monthly.
CERTIFICATES OF DEPOSIT/IRA
Our certificates of deposit and Individual Retirement Accounts are smart investment choices.Certificates of Deposit (CD): With maturities ranging from six months to five years, our competitively priced certificates can be opened for $500. Interest is guaranteed for the term of the account being compounded and paid quarterly. A penalty is imposed for early withdrawal.
Individual Retirement Account (IRA): Our Individual Retirement Account is an 18-month Certificate of Deposit with interest compounded and paid quarterly. Contributions and qualifying distributions can be made directly to and from this account without penalty. Consult your tax professional for any tax benefits.
MORTGAGES
At Martinsville First, mortgages stay right here in Martinsville. We don’t sell mortgages to other banks or third parties.Mortgages: Fixed rate conventional mortgage loans with maturities up to 25 years are available. All loans are approved, owned and serviced locally by local people. Our One Closing Construction Loan is popular with our customers interested in building a new home.
